A woman from Madhya Pradesh's Panna district has unearthed a 2.69-carat raw diamond, which is now set to be auctioned. The find could earn her several lakh rupees, according to officials.
Savitri Sisodia, who has pursued this endeavor for two years amid harsh environment conditions, expressed her belief that this discovery would transform her and her family's lives. She described the diamond as a 'priceless gift of nature.'
The diamond was inspected and will be auctioned in line with regulations. Diamond Officer Anupam Singh confirmed that the obtained auction amount, after deducting government royalties and taxes, will be awarded to the woman.
