Tragedy Strikes Kanwar Yatra: Devotees Hit by Speeding Car

In a tragic incident, four Kanwar Yatra devotees lost their lives, and two others were injured when a speeding car rammed into them in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred on the Shivpuri Link Road near the Agra-Mumbai National Highway (NH-3).
According to police, the speeding vehicle overturned after hitting the Kanwariyas, devotees of Lord Shiva, as the driver failed to control the car following a tire burst. The accident took place around 2 am, claiming the lives of three on the spot while another succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
The car's occupants fled the scene, prompting local authorities to launch a manhunt for them. As angry locals staged protests demanding justice, police identified the deceased as Puran Banjara, Ramesh Banjara, Dinesh, and Dharmendra, all residents of Simaria village near Ghatigaon.
