Hulk Hogan, the iconic wrestling figure known for his headscarf and mustache, has passed away at 71, Florida police confirmed Thursday.

Authorities attended to a cardiac arrest call in Clearwater, where Hogan, born Terry Bollea, was declared dead. Hogan captivated fans in WWE's history, headlining the inaugural WrestleMania in 1985, alongside legends like Andre The Giant and Vince McMahon.

A six-time WWE champion, Hogan was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005. In 2016, he won a landmark $115 million in a privacy-invading sex tape lawsuit against Gawker Media. WWE mourned his loss, saying Hogan's influence helped elevate the organization to global fame.
