Pedro Pascal recently opened up about his preference for maintaining facial hair while acting, attributing it to a less flattering experience with a clean-shaven look. In a conversation with 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' co-star Vanessa Kirby as part of LADbible's Agree to Disagree series, he reflected on his on-screen image choices.
"I grow such sparse facial hair, but if I were to shave it all off... I look very unappealing. I strongly disagree with a clean-shaven version of myself," Pascal stated. He remarked that his appearance in the 2020 film 'Wonder Woman 1984' was so displeasing to him that he avoids going clean-shaven unless necessary.
The actor, who played Maxwell Lord in the Patty Jenkins-directed DC film, shared that he would have obliged should 'Fantastic Four' director Matt Shakman demanded a clean-shaven look, but praised the collaborative nature of the character creation process that respected his preferences. This retro-themed film, featuring stars like Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, hits theaters on July 24.
