In a grand ceremony held in Vaishali, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar officially inaugurated the highly-anticipated Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum-cum-Memorial Stupa. This significant event, attended by Buddhist monks from 15 countries, marked the enshrinement of Lord Buddha's sacred relics within the newly constructed complex.
The inauguration included a message from the Dalai Lama, narrated amid Vedic chants as senior monks placed the relics into a dedicated chamber. Nitish Kumar emphasized the project's successful completion as a vital moment for Bihar's cultural pride, aimed at promoting global Buddhist heritage and enhancing state tourism.
The sprawling 72-acre site features a library, museum, guest accommodations, and a solar-powered infrastructure. With its design incorporating eco-friendly elements, the museum complex intends to enrich visitor experiences while providing cultural and employment incentives for the community.
