Shared Worlds: Contemporary Art Eco-Politics Unveiled

An exhibition titled 'Shared Worlds', displaying the works of over 30 artists, is set to open at Bikaner House, marking the 15th anniversary of gallery Exhibit 320. This showcase diverges from traditional singular themes, emphasizing materiality, memory, and politics in contemporary art.

Curated by Deeksha Nath, the exhibition allows artists to interrogate the relationship between art and current societal influences. Artists like Deepak Kumar, Alex Davis, and Kaushik Saha tackle subjects such as urbanisation and ecological themes, while others explore gender and materiality.

The exhibition, running until August 13, highlights the dynamic evolution of contemporary art, championing critical engagement and discourse. According to Exhibit 320's founder-director Rasika Kajaria, the showcase is a celebration of artists challenging conventions and enriching the cultural dialogue of South Asian contemporary art.
