Tragedy Strikes Dahi Handi Celebration in Gujarat

The accident unfolded as some individuals attempted to pull on a rope connected to the pole. The collapse was captured in a viral video, showing the pole crashing into a group of people watching the 'matki fod' event, or Dahi Handi, an activity where participants break a pot filled with curd.

The injured individuals were rushed to a nearby community health center. Unfortunately, the boy, identified as Ishwar Varchand, succumbed to his injuries. Dahi Handi is traditionally celebrated on Janmashtami, commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna.
