Malayalam film industry has lost a notable director, Nisar, who passed away on Monday at the age of 65 in Changanassery. Renowned for producing mainstream films with limited budgets, his work remains influential in both Malayalam and Tamil cinema.
Nisar began his illustrious career in 1994 with the successful film 'Sudinam'. Over the next two decades, he directed 27 films and became known for completing projects quickly without compromising on quality. His last directorial venture was 'Laughing Apartment Near Girinagar' in 2018.
FEFKA, the directors' union, honored Nisar's contributions, highlighting his practical filmmaking approaches and technical skills in utilizing dupes and 'cheating shots' for efficiency. Nisar's innovative methods, such as shooting single-shot films, garnered international attention and accolades. Final respects will be paid at a local mosque, as confirmed by his relatives.
