Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced this development following communication from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The extra trains are expected to significantly ease travel for thousands, especially those journeying from Mumbai to the Konkan region and other parts of the state.
The Maharashtra government thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Railway Minister for addressing their request for enhanced train services during the 10-day Ganeshotsav starting August 27.
