Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: DiscoverShe Initiative Launched in Bengaluru
DiscoverShe, launched by DLabs at ISB in partnership with HCL Foundation, is a new initiative aimed at empowering 400 women micro-entrepreneurs in urban and peri-urban India. The program focuses on digitization, capacity-building, financial literacy, and mentorship, fostering resilience and growth in women-led businesses across various sectors.
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India—In an ambitious initiative named DiscoverShe, DLabs at the Indian School of Business (ISB), together with the HCL Foundation, has kicked off its efforts to empower 400 women micro-entrepreneurs across urban and peri-urban regions of India.
The inaugural event was marked by a two-day bootcamp in Bengaluru, focusing on MSME digitization and capacity-building. This program, spearheaded by city-level bootcamps, includes comprehensive hands-on training in creating digital storefronts, financial literacy, as well as offering access to microfinance and essential mentorship.
Leading figures like Saumya Kumar, CEO of DLabs, have emphasized their commitment to support these entrepreneurs, seeing them as pivotal to socio-economic change. Dr. Nidhi Pundhir of the HCL Foundation highlighted the program's holistic approach, designed to bolster resilience and ensure the sustainability of women-led enterprises within the dynamic MSME ecosystem.
