Delhi police apprehended two gang members on Thursday, accused of plotting to assassinate popular stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqi. The suspects were taken into custody following a gunfight on Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road.

Identified as Rahul and Sahil, the duo allegedly collaborated with foreign-based gangster Rohit Godara under the guidance of Goldy Brar and Virender Charan. The plan was to track and eliminate Faruqi, who boasts a social media following of 14.2 million after winning Bigg Boss in 2024.

Both suspects were involved in reconnaissance efforts in cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru. Rahul sustained a gunshot wound during the encounter and was wanted for a triple murder in Haryana. Seized firearms and a motorcycle provide further evidence in the high-profile case.
