Sarath Nair, a resident of Thaikattussery, has become the latest fortunate winner of the Thiruvonam Bumper lottery, securing a staggering Rs 25 crore first prize.

Nair purchased his winning ticket, numbered 'TH 577825', from a local outlet operated by agent Latheesh. Upon the announcement on October 3, disbelief engulfed him until he verified the result from home.

Interestingly, Nair is not a regular participant in lotteries, as he occasionally buys tickets, making this jackpot win his first attempt with a bumper ticket. Though overwhelmed by the windfall, Nair remains grounded, intending to continue his current job at a paint shop, a position he has held for 12 years. His immediate plan is to clear his debts, with further discussions with family on the more extensive use of the prize.
