Delhi's Chhath Puja: A Promise Fulfilled

The Delhi BJP announces the organization of Chhath Puja at around 1,500 ghats, fulfilling an election promise by CM Rekha Gupta's government. This includes 23 natural and 1,300 artificial ghats. The Delhi BJP declared on Wednesday that the Chhath Puja celebrations this year will feature over 1,500 ghats across the city.

According to Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, this plan fulfills an election pledge by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's administration. The 1,500 ghats will comprise 23 large natural ghats along the Yamuna, supplemented by approximately 1,300 artificial ones, with an additional 200 locations identified due to public demand.

Sachdeva criticized the previous AAP government for an 'unethical ban' on Yamuna worship. He emphasized the BJP's commitment to Chhath arrangements and sanitation, and announced a massive cleanliness drive under Purvanchal Morcha leader Santosh Ojha, with BJP leaders personally visiting ghats to oversee festivities.
