Telangana Partners with RMIT for Global Life Sciences Innovation

The Telangana government has officially partnered with Australia's RMIT University to enhance collaborations in research, innovation, and advanced education. The agreement focuses on the life sciences sector, aiming to nurture an industry-ready global workforce and cement Telangana's status as a hub for innovation.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, emphasized the state's commitment to becoming a Global Innovation Hub. He highlighted the role of Genome Valley and expressed the ambitious goal to elevate the life sciences sector's value to USD 250 billion by 2030.
Plans for a Telangana Life Sciences School were also announced, aimed at providing specialized training and education. The agreement includes joint PhD programs, exchange initiatives, and research projects to produce a workforce aligned with industry needs, with RMIT and BITS Hyderabad spearheading these efforts.
