In a bold move to revitalize Hyderabad, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday declared the commencement of a significant international bus terminal project in Gajularamaram within the next three months, spread over 100 acres. He emphasized the state government's dedication to the development of Hyderabad and Telangana over the upcoming 24 months.

Addressing a public gathering after laying the foundation for the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation building, Reddy stressed Hyderabad's role as a key driver of India's economy. He highlighted challenges like pollution and traffic faced by other metropolitan areas, asserting a need for strategic growth in Hyderabad to accommodate its burgeoning population. Reddy also announced administrative restructuring in the Greater Hyderabad region by dividing it into three corporations for improved coordination.

Focusing on housing, Reddy outlined plans to construct one lakh homes for low and middle-income families in Greater Hyderabad. The government is also exploring ways to reclaim encroached land for housing projects targeting economically weaker sections. Furthermore, Phase 2 of the Hyderabad Metro Rail is being planned to support the city's long-term infrastructural strategy.

Reddy launched a fierce criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for failing to secure central funds essential for Telangana's progress. He alleged impediments to development projects, such as the Musi River rejuvenation, due to the central government's lack of support. Reddy also challenged political opponents to public debates comparing state and central governance.

The Chief Minister also outlined the welfare programs implemented by his government, including free bus travel for women, a student breakfast scheme, and initiatives promoting women's empowerment and educational access for underprivileged children.
