In a bid to honor outstanding journalistic contributions, the North East Media Forum, in collaboration with My Home India, is calling for entries for the 3rd Kalyan Barooah Memorial Awards for Journalism.
These prestigious awards will be presented on December 11, marking the birth anniversary of the revered journalist Kalyan Barooah, known for his impactful coverage through The Assam Tribune in New Delhi. The initiative aims to celebrate journalists who bring the issues of the northeastern region into the spotlight.
Journalists from or covering the northeastern region can submit their work across five categories by November 10, 2025. The awards reflect a deep commitment to recognizing journalistic talent that echoes Barooah's legacy.
