Renowned actor Manoj Joshi is bringing his celebrated play 'Chanakya' to Delhi this November, dedicating the performances to soldiers who showed exemplary bravery during Operation Sindoor. During a recent interview, Joshi emphasized the historical importance and the continued relevance of Chanakya's teachings in today's world.

The play, initially staged in Gujarati in 1990 and later in Hindi in 1995, will announce its first ticketed shows in Delhi. Joshi explained, 'Chanakya is part of our culture, with its ideologies in management, strategy, and politics remaining pertinent for everyone across eras.'

Joshi is known for his commanding stage and screen presence, and he aims to bring the legendary figure of Chanakya, who united India to form the Mauryan Empire, to life. Despite potential political implications concerning ancient Magadha, Joshi asserts that Chanakya's principles focus on governance for nation-building, a concept every leader should acknowledge.

Reflecting on his choice of venue, Joshi shared his emotional connection with the National School of Drama, where the play will be held on November 1 and 2, 2025. Though he had other venue options, his respect for the institution solidified his decision.
