Taron Egerton Joins the Star-Studded Cast of 'Kockroach'

British actor Taron Egerton is the newest addition to the cast of 'Kockroach', according to entertainment news outlet Deadline. Known for his roles in the 'Kingsman' series and 'Rocketman', where he portrayed Elton John, Egerton joins Channing Tatum and Zazie Beetz in the upcoming movie.

Directed by Matt Ross with a script by Jonathan Ames, 'Kockroach' is produced by Andrew Lazar and Kevin Frakes. An adaptation of William Lashner's novel, the story follows a mysterious stranger who rises to become a formidable crime boss in New York City. The film is currently in pre-production, and filming is set to begin in February in Australia.

In addition to 'Kockroach', Egerton will appear in 'Apex', an action thriller by Baltasar Kormakur, also starring Charlize Theron and Eric Bana. Written by Jeremy Robbins, this project further cements Egerton's place in the action genre.
