Navy Strengthens Well-Being with Art of Living Partnership
The Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area has partnered with The Art of Living to enhance the well-being, leadership, and resilience of naval personnel. This collaboration offers stress-management and leadership training, aiming to reinforce a balanced and prepared naval force amidst modernization efforts.
The Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area, in collaboration with The Art of Living, is set to fortify the mental well-being and leadership capacities of its personnel through a new partnership. Signed on November 14, 2025, at Naval Headquarters Chennai, the Memorandum of Understanding seeks to bring advanced wellness and stress-management training to the ranks, aiming to nurture inner resilience for a more balanced and prepared naval force.
This partnership builds upon the existing foundation laid across the Indian Navy, aiming to expand the impact of training programs already transforming thousands of naval personnel. These programs, tailored for high-pressure environments and backed by scientific research, provide long-term resources for officers and sailors to anchor themselves in their duties and maintain steady performance.
The initiative's impact extends beyond borders, including the U.S., where Project Welcome Home aids troops facing post-traumatic stress and reintegration challenges. With an alarming rate of veteran suicides, the program strives to restore calm and purpose among veterans, aligning with the overarching goal to strengthen the human element behind national security operations.
