Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced that the 'Unity March,' celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, has become a beacon of national unity. Mandaviya emphasized its role as a youth-driven movement with widespread civic engagement.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, through MY Bharat, is spearheading the Sardar@150 Unity March padyatra across India, aiming to ignite national pride and civic responsibility among the youth. Launched on October 6, as part of a two-year commemorative event (2024–2026), the initiative honors Patel's enduring legacy.
Mandaviya disclosed that over 10 lakh participants have engaged in 842 padyatras across India. This movement culminates in a national march starting November 26. Emphasizing themes like Swachhata and Aatmanirbharta, this campaign aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat by Prime Minister Modi.
