In a landmark address, President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the lasting impact of Sri Sathya Sai Baba's teachings of selfless service at his birth centenary celebrations in Puttaparthi. She lauded him for inspiring millions to consider 'Service to Mankind is Service to God', linking spirituality with public altruism.
The President was joined by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who echoed her sentiments, recalling Baba's pivotal welfare contributions. Naidu highlighted the significant water projects initiated by Baba in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, mentioning how his followers rallied significant funds for these causes.
With a sprawling network of over 7.5 lakh volunteers in 140 countries, Sri Sathya Sai Baba's devotees continue spreading his calls for peace and service worldwide. Both leaders stressed the eternal relevance of his message, emphasizing the continued fusion of education, character-building, and community welfare.
