The film adaptation of Bhabendra Nath Saikia's cherished novel 'Moromor Deuta' is set to premiere at the 23rd Chennai International Film Festival, bringing this classic Assamese story to the big screen. Directed by Himjyoti Talukdar, the film stars debutant actor Bodhisattva Sharma in the lead role, alongside seasoned actors Mintu Barua, Aparna Dutta Choudhury, and Gaurav Bora.

Originally published in 1989 in the children's magazine 'Xophura', Saikia's novel is a staple of Assamese literature, celebrated for its tender exploration of the bonds between a father and child.
