PC Jeweller Ltd has announced a new initiative to empower 1,000 certified goldsmiths in Uttar Pradesh, helping them transition into entrepreneurs. The company will provide support in branding, design, and marketing as part of its collaboration with the 'CM Yuva Udyami Yojana'.
The Delhi-based firm intends to transform PM Vishwakarma-certified goldsmiths, traditionally operating informally, into organized retail partners with improved access to market linkages and digital skills. This effort is set to impact over 5,000 artisans across India.
The ambitious program will focus on upgrading skills in contemporary jewellery design, hallmarking, customer service, and digital tools, thereby enhancing income stability and business expansion opportunities. PC Jeweller's Managing Director, Balram Garg, highlighted the historic opportunity this collaboration presents for recognising and uplifting traditional artisans.
