In a tragic accident in Gujarat's Morbi district, four pilgrims lost their lives and one was injured when a truck crashed into them early Wednesday morning. The group was on a pilgrimage to Dwarka when the incident occurred.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Pratipalsinh Zala, the accident happened around 6 am between Maliya village and Jamanagar, when the truck struck the pilgrims from behind as they walked along the state highway. The injured pilgrim has been hospitalized in Morbi.
Fellow pilgrim Kalyanbhai, from Banaskantha, shared that it was the sixth day of their journey. The deceased, identified as Dilipbhai Chaudhary, Hardik Chaudhary, Bhagwanbhai Chaudhary, and Amrabhai Chaudhary, were all residents of Banaskantha district. Police have initiated an investigation and are attempting to trace the truck involved.
