The Ernakulam District and Principal Sessions Court ordered the release of actor Dileep's passport on Thursday, following his acquittal in the high-profile 2017 actress assault case.
The decision, made by Judge Honey M Varghese, came after the prosecution offered no objections, despite earlier indicating plans to appeal the acquittal.
Dileep had initially surrendered his passport in 2017 as a bail condition; however, he was previously allowed to travel abroad for business and film promotions during the trial.
