Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was among the prominent figures who voted on Thursday in the ongoing Maharashtra civic elections. The actor was spotted at a polling booth, where after casting his vote, he spoke to the media about the significance of participating in the democratic process.
In his interaction with the press, Khan lauded the good arrangements made at the polling stations by the civic authorities. He emphasized the critical need for citizens to exercise their right to vote, stating, "I would tell everyone to definitely cast their precious votes. BMC has made very good arrangements here."
Aamir Khan was joined by his family members, including his children Junaid Khan and Ira Khan alongside his former wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, who also made appearances at various polling booths. Celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna joined the voting on the same day. The civic elections are crucial as they cover 29 municipal corporations, with critical campaigns and high stakes between political alliances like BJP-Shiv Sena and independent factions of NCP.
