Sikkim Soars: Paragliding Excellence at Flying Festival

The Flying Festival and Paragliding Accuracy Championship commenced in Pakyong, Sikkim, featuring 62 paragliders from India and Nepal. Organized by the Rhenock Tourism Development Society with state support, the event runs flights from Amba and Thumki Dara. The championship ends with an awards ceremony attended by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.

The vibrant Flying Festival and Paragliding Accuracy Championship took off in Sikkim's Pakyong, showcasing the thrill of flight over three days.

Organized by the Rhenock Tourism Development Society and supported by the state Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, the event attracts 62 seasoned paragliders hailing from various parts of India and neighboring Nepal.

Flights launch from Amba and Thumki Dara, with rounds contingent on weather, while judges from several regions supervise competition. The finale, attended by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, promises to honor the top individual and team performers.
