The general secretary of the Nair Service Society (NSS), G Sukumaran Nair, has clarified that his comments were about fostering unity between NSS and SNDP and should not be misread as targeting Leader of Opposition, V D Satheesan.
NSS and the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam represent the Nair and Ezhava communities respectively. Nair articulated that his words were not intended to create an NSS-SNDP versus Satheesan scenario.
Nair asserts that real unity between NSS and SNDP is essential and achievable internally, without outside intervention, reinforcing that political motives were not part of his remarks especially as elections loom.
