Jordan's Star Forward Ruled Out of World Cup: A Major Setback
Jordan’s forward Ibrahim Sabra, aged 20, will miss the World Cup in North America due to a torn ankle ligament. This injury occurred during training, as confirmed by the Jordan Football Association. Sabra's absence limits Jordan coach Jamal Al-Salami’s attacking options as the team readies for their debut World Cup.
In a significant setback for Jordan's World Cup aspirations, 20-year-old forward Ibrahim Sabra has been ruled out due to a torn ankle ligament injury, the Jordan Football Association announced on Friday.
The injury was confirmed following scans, revealing damage to the ligaments in Sabra's left ankle, effectively sidelining him from the upcoming tournament. Sabra, a striker for Lokomotiv Zagreb, recently made his mark on the senior national team after a strong performance at the youth level.
Jordan, preparing for their debut appearance at the World Cup, has been grouped against Austria, Algeria, and reigning champions Argentina. The team had recently achieved success by reaching the 2023 Asian Cup final.
