Controversy Erupts at Magh Mela Over Swami's Protest

The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha protested in response to alleged misconduct towards Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his followers during the Magh Mela in Prayagraj. They demanded investigation and action against officials, alleging the incident was a smear campaign against Uttar Pradesh's government.

The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha voiced strong disapproval during a meeting in Prayagraj, condemning the alleged maltreatment of Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciples.

Speakers accused officials of ignoring the incident, alleging it was an attempt to tarnish the image of Uttar Pradesh's leadership. The organization called for accountability and a public apology, addressing a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Contradicting accusations from the saint, the mela administration insisted no stoppages were made, attributing the barriers to safety measures. This tension coincides with legal challenges regarding the Shankaracharya title.
