In a significant move to promote historical scholarship, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann unveiled a new book, 'The Kunindas and Their Coins,' in Mumbai. The book delves into the coinage of the Kuninda tribe, shedding light on Punjab's rich cultural heritage.

Authored by renowned numismatist Devendra Handa, the book is published by the Hinduja Foundation, a body committed to preserving India's historical legacy. The launch event was graced by notable figures, including Punjab Chief Secretary K A P Sinha and trustees of the Hinduja Foundation, Prakash and Ashok P Hinduja.

'The Kunindas and Their Coins' marks the third installment in the Foundation's Heritage of India series, drawing from a collection of over 34,000 coins. It offers insights into the religious, cultural, and trade practices of the Kuninda tribe, helping newer generations appreciate the depth of India's ancient past.
