Religious tourism in the historic city of Ujjain is experiencing unprecedented growth following the inauguration of the 'Shri Mahakal Mahalok' corridor, announced Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday.

The newly constructed 900-meter pedestrian walkway connects the ancient Mahakaleshwar temple, one of the 12 sacred jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva, to the renovated Rudrasagar lake. This impressive development has significantly boosted the influx of devotees, setting new records in religious tourism for the region.

In addition, Yadav mentioned that the festival of 'Gudi Padwa' will be celebrated extensively across the state's temples. He also voiced his support for India's cricket team ahead of their T20 World Cup match against Pakistan in Colombo, expressing optimism for a victory.
