President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a two-day visit to Andhra Pradesh, where she will attend the prestigious International Fleet Review (IFR) in Visakhapatnam on February 18. Arriving today, her visit underscores India's growing maritime vision and the strategic importance of the region.
The IFR, running from February 15 to 25, is organized by the Indian Navy and marks India's first simultaneous hosting of 'Exercise MILAN' and the IONS Conclave of Chiefs. This convergence aims to enhance global maritime security and naval cooperation, with over 100 nations participating.
Featuring a display of ships, submarines, and aircraft, the IFR will also witness Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu joining President Murmu. The event reflects India's commitment to fostering naval strength and operational partnerships with friendly nations.
