Internationally renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik is showcasing his mixed-media 'Jugalbandi' paintings at Contemporary Venice 2026, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career. The exhibition, held at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello, Venice, features a unique blend of natural sand and color on canvas.

Pattnaik, the only Indian artist at the event, seeks to highlight themes of nature, human emotion, and environmental harmony through his artwork. His participation reflects his artistic evolution from the beaches of Puri to an international platform, marrying his sand sculpting roots with new mixed-media expressions.

The exhibition, organized by the ITSLIQUID Group in collaboration with ACIT Venice, includes over 80 artists from 30 countries. Pattnaik's work has been praised for its distinctive use of materials and the environmental consciousness it promotes. The event will conclude on March 20.
