Lusaka Hustle Show has been suspended with an immediate effect in Zambia. Multichoice Zambia has recently said in a statement that it has engaged the channel provider Zambegi Magic to immediately suspend the television reality show until further notice.

Multichoice Zambia has accepted that they have received a notice from the Independent Broadcasting Authority to halt airing the program and the company has decided to comply with the directive. The program promoted ideas and lifestyle that the authority was not keen Zambians to be exposed to, Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) noted, as reported by Lusaka Times.

“We are facilitating compliance with the directive but will follow the appeal procedure set out in the Independent Broadcasting Authority Act to get clarity on the correct interpretation of the law. We remain committed to the promotion of local content and the respect of the law,” IBA stated in a statement.
