Police in Navi Mumbai have apprehended two juveniles accused of vandalizing a statue symbolizing the Agri-Koli community, officials announced on Thursday.
The statue, located in Sector 10, Vashi, represents farmers and fishermen and was defaced in an incident made public through social media platforms like Instagram.
The Vashi police launched an investigation and detained the suspects from Mankhurd, seizing the device used for recording. A case has been filed under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act, and inquiries are ongoing.
