Casio India Co. Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan's Casio Computer Co., has initiated a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project aimed at boosting music education and creating livelihood opportunities in India.
The initiative, in partnership with the Delhi-based non-profit organization Manzil Mystics, seeks to offer skill-based musical training to children and musicians from underserved communities. This program will utilize Casio electronic keyboards and curriculum-based modules to develop practical skills, particularly benefiting students in government schools and young musicians from low-income areas.
Commenting on the project, Takuto Kimura, Managing Director of Casio India, emphasized the transformative role of music in fostering creativity and confidence. By making music education more accessible, the initiative aims to nurture talent and create meaningful career opportunities in the creative industry, supporting India's rich musical traditions while preparing artists for the expanding media and entertainment sectors.
