Tragedy struck on the Phalguni River when two young men lost their lives after their fishing boat capsized. The deceased, identified by police as Ganesh (28) and Rayal (24), were both residents of Kunjathbail.
Nithish, a fellow Kunjathbail resident, was with them but managed to survive the ordeal thanks to the quick response of locals in the area. According to police reports, the group embarked on their fishing trip on Tuesday night, but disaster struck in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
While Nithish has stated that the accident came suddenly and without any prior indication, local authorities are investigating the incident to uncover more specifics. Kavoor police are leading the inquiry to ascertain the precise circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
