In a call to commemorate Dr. B R Ambedkar's enduring legacy, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has proposed celebrating his birth anniversary as a 'festival of thoughts.' He emphasized the importance of spreading Ambedkar's ideas and contributions to all sections of society.
Chairing a preparatory meeting for the Dalit leader's 135th birth anniversary, Fadnavis praised Ambedkar's Constitution for its inclusive principles, which he says continue to guide India's progress. The Chief Minister stressed the need for celebrations to transcend mere ritual and inspire future generations.
The government is arranging logistical support for visitors to Chaityabhoomi in Dadar and promoting awareness of the Constitution. Events will include a drone show and educational initiatives aligned with Ambedkar's principles.
