In an exciting update for fans of Middle-earth, actor and filmmaker Andy Serkis has announced that the role of Aragorn will be recast for his upcoming prequel film, 'The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum.'
The decision rules out a return for Viggo Mortensen, who famously portrayed the character in the original trilogy directed by Peter Jackson. Serkis confirmed that the casting process is already in motion, as the film prepares to delve into a story set between 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogies.
