Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) announced a significant investment of Rs 116 crore in Phantom Digital Effects, a burgeoning visual effects and animation studio. This strategic move is aimed at boosting ZEEL's footprint in the thriving Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector.
In a regulatory filing, ZEEL stated its commitment to the global content landscape, which is increasingly embracing VFX-heavy over-the-top (OTT) services and films. Execution quality, visual realism, and timely delivery are now as crucial as storytelling in this evolving market.

The studio, which recently reported a turnover of Rs 102.2 crore for FY25, will play a pivotal role in ZEEL's quest to enhance its creative ventures with robust execution capabilities.
