An NGO in Maharashtra's Parbhani city hosted a traditional baby shower last week for two HIV-positive pregnant women, a significant step in promoting social change and awareness.

The event sought to dispel HIV-related myths, stressing that with appropriate medical care, children born to HIV-positive mothers can remain healthy. The Homoeopathic Academy of Research and Charities facilitated the marriages of the two women.

A cultural play titled 'Kali Umalatana' was performed, focusing on women's health, motherhood, and social inclusion. Gifts and essential daily-use items were presented to the expectant mothers, underscoring a message of dignity and compassion.
