Star Power at the Polls: Suriya and Jyothika Cast Their Votes

In the ongoing Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, popular actor couple Suriya and Jyothika made their presence felt by casting their votes on Thursday. The couple arrived at a polling station in Chennai's T Nagar, joining the democratic exercise that drew participation from various notable figures.
Suriya, exuding style in a black shirt and sunglasses, and Jyothika, elegant in a kurta-dupatta ensemble, greeted the onlookers before proceeding to vote. Among other prominent individuals were Chief Minister MK Stalin, TVK leader Vijay, DMK's KN Nehru, and actors Rajinikanth and Dhurv Vikram, who also cast their votes earlier in the day.
The elections witnessed considerable enthusiasm from the public, as evidenced by a 70.00% voter turnout at 3 pm, reported by the Election Commission of India. Namakkal led the turnout rates at 76.43%, closely followed by several other districts. The polls, covering 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and 152 in West Bengal, will close at 6:00 pm amid stringent security measures.
