One Punch Man Season 2 gets Hunter x Hunter’s Masaya Matsukaze, Suiryu to challenge Saitama

One Punch Man Season 2 got a new trailer in December and it was obviously a massive inspiration for the anime enthusiasts who were passionately looking forward to some updates.

Fans also have good news that One Punch Man Season 2 is going to be premiered in April this year, although the exact date is not announced. Moetron (anime information provider) recently tweeted that the second season will be released in April 2019.

Masaya Matsukaze has joined One Punch Man Season 2. The 42-year old voice actor, who is popular for his voiceover roles in Hunter x Hunter, Fairy Tail and several other anime series, will officially lend voice for Suiryu. Comicbook recently confirmed that the series is going to show the introduction of powerful Suiryu in the tournament arc. Moetron has also revealed his look, attire and hairstyle via Twitter.

Masaya Matsukaze is a martial artist who is very much fond of Bajiquan (Chinese martial art that features explosive, short-range power and is famous for its elbow and shoulder strikes). He is also a radio personality and currently affiliated to Aoni Production. He will lend voice for newly character Suiryu along with other voice artists like Makoto Furukawa (for protagonist Saitama), Kaito Ishikawa (for Genos), Yuki Kaji (as Speed-o’-Sound Sonic), Minami Takayama (as Child Emperor), Hikaru Midorikawa (as Garou), Kazuhiro Yamaji (as Silverfang), Yuichi Nakamura (as Mumen Rider) to name a few, as confirmed by Comic Book.

In the upcoming One Punch Man Season 2, the protagonist Saitama will have to confront powerful Suiryu apart from the previously announced antagonist Garou, who vows in the trailer to be in a hero-hunting mission and transform it (his mission) into a slaughter party. On the other hand, the trailer confirms at the end that ‘there are lots of super-strong bad guys in the world’. This indicates that the upcoming season will have severe action between Saitama and multiple villains with much blood-shedding.
