In a significant move to empower women in Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has inaugurated the Adani Vikas Kendra in Shivpuri's Badarwas district. The facility is designed to bolster women's economic roles through skill development and garment production initiatives.
The centre, spanning 48,000 square feet, is equipped with 600 modern sewing machines. It aims to serve both as a training ground and a production hub, with aspirations to connect one million women to sustainable livelihoods across India under the Adani Foundation's Swabhimaan programme.
The initiative, supported by Gautam Adani and the Adani Foundation, is expected to empower around 1,500 women initially, providing them with steady income opportunities. It seeks to enhance household earnings, reduce informal work dependence, and curb migration by strengthening women's participation in local economies.
