Thousands of fans were left disappointed as actor and television leader Vijay unexpectedly canceled his planned visit to Velankanni Church in Nagapattinam district on Saturday.
The star, who has been on a series of religious visits since the April 23 Tamil Nadu assembly election, was initially slated to visit the renowned Christian pilgrimage site, known for the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health.
Although sources close to TVK cited personal reasons for the change in plans, it has been hinted that Vijay may visit Velankanni on Sunday, offering a glimmer of hope for his eager followers.
