Powered by months of rigorous training, Ishank completed the 29-kilometer stretch in under ten hours. In a remarkable display of endurance and determination, seven-year-old Ishank Singh has successfully swum across the Palk Strait, connecting India and Sri Lanka. The feat, completed on April 30, was the result of months of intense preparation that saw Ishank training for up to eight hours daily.

Starting from Talaimannar in Sri Lanka and reaching Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu, Ishank's journey across the 29-kilometer stretch took nine hours and fifty minutes. His historic swim, guided by coaches Aman Kumar Jaiswal and Bajrang Kumar, earned him the titles of 'Youngest and Fastest Palk Strait Swimmer' and '2026 OWSAT World Record' by prominent swimming bodies.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren and school principal BN Jha have praised Ishank's achievement as a testament to discipline and courage. With his eyes set on future challenges, Ishank aspires to complete a two-way swim across the Palk Strait.
