Sergio Gor, the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, has concluded a pivotal visit to Nepal aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and promoting technological collaboration. His three-day trip encompassed key meetings with political figures and local business leaders, signaling a commitment to expanding U.S. investment in Nepal's burgeoning tech industry.
During his visit, Gor emphasized the United States' role in innovation, expressing optimism that Nepal's new government would foster deeper partnerships. Key interactions included discussions with Rabi Lamichhane, Shisir Khanal, and Swarnim Wagle, which focused on boosting commercial ties and exploring new business opportunities.
Gor's itinerary also included a visit to Everest Base Camp to explore American drone technology applications, and a cultural event in Kathmandu for the return of a religious statue, underscoring the U.S.'s dedication to cultural restitution.
