Stars Shine Bright at the 15th Delhi International Film Festival

The 15th Delhi International Film Festival kicked off with prominent figures such as Usha Uthup and Runa Laila. Featuring panels and screenings from over 50 countries, the festival highlights Arab Cinema and India's Northeastern films. Uthup received the Lifetime Achievement Award, performing her hit 'Ramba Ho' while Laila celebrated music's universal appeal.

The 15th Delhi International Film Festival was unveiled at IGNCA's Samvet Auditorium, showcasing an exciting lineup of global cinematic talent. The opening ceremony, filled with celebration and acknowledgment, included dignitaries like singers Usha Uthup and Runa Laila, and filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan.

The festival, organized in partnership with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, opened with 'Her Story,' a Chinese drama centered on a single mother in Shanghai. Usha Uthup, honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, captivated audiences with a performance of her track 'Ramba Ho.'

Also honored was Bangladesh icon Runa Laila, who emphasized music's borderless nature. The festival, featuring films from over 50 countries, emphasizes Arab and Northeastern Indian cinema, alongside engaging panel discussions. Filmmaker Gopalakrishnan expressed hopes for the festival's expanding influence and contribution to the arts.
