Prateek Yadav, the younger son of Samajwadi Party founder the late Mulayam Singh Yadav, is set to be laid to rest at 11 AM on Thursday at Baikunth Dham, Bhainsakund. The announcement was made by his wife, Aparna Bisht Yadav, who is a BJP member and vice chairperson of the state Women's Commission. She informed the public of the ceremony via a social media post late Wednesday night.

Prateek Yadav passed away on Wednesday morning, aged 38, due to cardiac-lung complications, as reported by doctors. Despite belonging to a prominent political family in Uttar Pradesh, Prateek preferred to lead a private life, focusing on his interests in fitness and entrepreneurship. He was the stepbrother of Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Aparna Yadav shared a card on social media, stating the ceremony details and expressing the family's grief. The family’s loss is deeply mourned by his wife, Aparna, and daughters, Prathama and Padmaja Yadav. In the post, Aparna Yadav requested the presence of well-wishers during this sorrowful time.
